Two years ago my best friend kept trying to get me to see this little movie called \"RENT\" with him. After a few weeks of talking about the coming release, I was certainly relieved that the talking stopped. But little did I know how much this \"little movie\" changed my life (I know, cheesy line) from then on. From the first song, I was instantly hooked. The reverberations of Taye Digg\'s soulful \"You\'ll see boys\" were stuck in my head for weeks. I couldn\'t stop humming one liners and bits from the musical in class or at home. I was worried I\'d be insane by the month\'s end.

The slogan \"No Day But Today\" is packed with surreal emotions and positive vibrations that I haven\'t seen in other productions. I\'m only sorry that the creator of this work didn\'t live to see his legacy. If you took all of the concepts and reduced them down to only one, I would say it is acceptance. Some of the characters are homosexuals, diseased with Aids, heroin addicts, depressed, poor, etc, etc. The character who is the biggest inspiration, Angel, was a homosexual who dressed like a woman. But for those who look down upon \"people like that\", it could be a sweet awakening because \"she\" was the kindest and most thoughtful one out of the whole bunch. And yet \"she\" is the one who ended up dying.

Those with Aids were trying to keep their head up day by day, and that is part of the meaning of the Slogan \"No day but Today.\" I have nothing else to say other than this is possibly the best musical I had ever seen and actually liked.
