Physical Symptoms of Anxiety Attacks
Those of us who suffer from panic and anxiety attacks describe them as the most terrifying experience of our entire life. Suffers of anxiety attacks report a fear or sense of dying, the feeling like they are going insane, symptoms which make them believe they are having a heart attack, feeling faint, nauseous, and losing complete control of themselves. These feelings provoke an immediate urge to escape the place where the attack began.
This is because panic and anxiety attacks trigger the fight or flight response when it is not actually necessary. Because the fight or flight response is triggered there are many physical symptoms of anxiety attacks that occur.
One of the most common physical symptoms of anxiety attacks is the sensations of adrenaline rushing through your entire body. This is simply caused by the fight or flight response. Your body thinks your life is in danger when there really is no actual threat. Since your body feels like you must protect yourself or flee it starts to produce lots of adrenaline to help you escape danger.
Other common physical symptoms of anxiety attacks include:
Trembling or shaking
A racing or pounding heartbeat (heart palpitation)
Sweating Chest pain or a feeling of tightness in the chest
Shortness of breath
Nausea Hot and cold flashes
Lightheadedness
Physical weakness
Exhaustion
Burning sensation
Obviously these symptoms encompass one of the worst experiences a human can have. Not only does your body think you\'re going to die, but your mind is confused because you\'re getting these sensations of death for no apparent reason. This combination makes panic attacks a terrible experience that nobody should be forced to deal with.
Unfortunately the health care system doesn\'t want people to know that the cure is much simpler than most people are led to believe. Panic attacks are simply caused by some faulty wiring in our brain that fires off fight or flight when it shouldn\'t. If you fix that wiring you fix the problem for good.
No matter what the big pharmaceutical companies and psychiatrists\' tell you, expensive medications and therapy are not the answer. They just try to treat the symptoms so you must shell out money month after month, without ever curing your panic attack. This is just taking advantage of people who have to suffer from the symptoms above. Who wouldn\'t be willing to pay a lot of money if they were told that was the only way to treat the physical symptoms of anxiety attacks?
