There are so many sites claiming to be a legitimate online paid survey provider it has become extremely difficult to tell apart the frauds from the genuine sites. You would think a free provider of a legitimate program would be the one to opt for but in the case of paid surveys this isn't the case, in fact free providers can be a much larger risk than signing up with one of those which charge a fee.

Now I'm not for one moment suggesting that all the sites claiming to be a legitimate online paid survey provider that charge a fee are genuine, trust me they aren't but the risk with free sites can be far more costly.

You will be asked by free providers of survey programs to fill in all your personal details, and this is where the risk lays. Personal information is now a huge business whether it be just to send spam emails and junk letters or something much worse such as getting a loan in your name or other kinds of frauds using your details for cash or goods purchases. The site itself won't use your details in this way but they will sell them to other companies to use how they wish.

These providers should have a page on there site confirming that they will never give or sell your details to anyone else, so you can at least feel safe from future frauds because you signed up to there program. A legitimate program should also offer a money back guarantee so that should you not be happy you can always request a refund.

Many ask why a legitimate online paid survey provider charges a fee and it's a perfectly understandable question to ask. The reason is simple, they spend a lot of time making sure they have all the companies available and all the links on there site are up to date and in working order. They also have staff to help them do this plus offering there customers the support they require, so they need to be paid thus this is what the small sign up fee is for.

There are an awful lot of scams though, certainly more than there are legitimate online paid survey providers, so it does pay to take things cautiously rather than jump in with the first site you come across. But as long as you do a your research, or find a site where it is already done for you such as a review site, and find a provider then they are an excellent way to earn an extra income.
